by Jerome Kessler
Bring my pipe and bring my slippers.
Bring my kiwi and my kippers.
Bake a batch of finnan haddie
For your mommy and your daddy.
Start a fire, watch the telly.
Balance baby on your belly.
Read the paper, take a walk.
Meet a neighbor, have a talk.
Write a poem, play the cello.
Eat a bowl of lemon jello.
Time to nap and time to play –
Let’s have Sunday every day.
